I bought all the terminal tackle I needed to make worm harnesses for catching Walleye up in Canada. After tying several configurations of colored beads, spoons, and double hooks in various sizes we tried them out up in the wilderness of Ontario, Canada. They worked, for a short while. We were catching Walleye in the 3 to 10lb. class. After a short while on a worm harness it would break off on a weed or a hit. We thought we were getting hit by Pike and cutting the line but after close inspection we noticed that under the clevises the line was fraying. We retied using folded clevises salvaged from some store bought harnesses and had no more issues. We probably lost 6 or more rigs and Walleye before figuring it out. We managed to get 3 Walleye over 10lb. on this trip with a bunch in the 3 to 6lb. category.
