Great for Copper Johns and Stonefly patterns

I have used thin skin for a lot of nymph patterns that have an epoxy wing case. I haven't had any problems with it and find it easier to work with than turkey feathers. The epoxy also seems to stick better to the thin skin than it does to a goose biot.
I just finished reading Barr Flies by John Barr and he has many different patterns that use it as well.

Actually, it cuts too readily. When using fine nylon tying thread and forming wing case, it cut right through the material. I Had to change to a flat, multi-strand tying thread....
And, the colors I bought (black and green patterned) are not very much like naturals. I think I'll stick with turkey quill and other natural feathers.
