I've been looking for synthetic "fur" to use typing streamer flies for the big trout around here (Klamath & Agency Lakes and tributaries) and for smallmouth bass. This is the "right stuff" since my wife can't find craft fur at the material stores anymore. Has a great sheen, easy to clip and tie, and is just the stuff. This is also has longer fibers and easier to work with that the usual craft fur she acquired.
Only complaint is that it seems I have to buy at least 5 packages of some colors (olive in my experience) in order to get it, though the other colors I ordered recently were available in increments of one package.
In any event, the stuff is perfect for the use I put it too...and catches fish, which is what it is all about in the end, eh?
