Convenient Set Up
Date:
They work in tandem set ups very well.
My only tip is that you need to up your test strength. If you really put some pressure on them you will break them.
After learning this the hard way, I went to the larger size and have had no further problems.

Great Swivels
Date:
I was using regular 3 way swivels to fish steelhead in the river, but they would bind up and stop spinning when I had a fish on.
These new inline swivels from Cabelas worked great. I get a straight pull from the main line to the fish and they have a snap off the bottom so I can easily change sinkers

Great, unique design, good value
Date:
This swivel works better for me than the more common three way wire/brass ring swivel. I haven't experience line twist problems or tangles between the drop sinker and leader with this swivel. The cheapo snap could be upgraded, but this weakness doesn't really come into play since you usually use a lighter weight drop-line to make the sinker the sacrificial part of the rig when encountering a bottom snag.
This device doesn't provide for the free sliding sinker action that other gear uses. In many situations this doesn't seem to matter. When trolling or drifting the sinker slider is going to be flush against it's stop anyway. The weight of the sinker is still going to be fully in-play in a sliding rig for fish bites or hook sets. This outfit requires one less piece and less threading than the sliding rigs.
