    When I first saw it I felt distrust. I didn´t think that something so small and seemingly fragile could handle the ferocious battle of tropical fish that live in my country Colombia. I was totally wrong. They are incredibly strong. Small ones have endured without failure other than 4 pounds and large have survived the savage punishment of peacock bass over 15 pounds without the slightest deformation. Simply amazing.

    Wow what a time saver. I change lure frequently if the fish are not biting these Fast Snaps are so much faster than retying a knot every time. I'm sold. It also is a time saver when my wife fishes with me. Put one of these on and no more retying for her..

    When fishing from a kayak you can only bring a few rods and you're bound to switch lures some time through out the day.
    These snaps are a quick solution. They're tiny, made from quality material and do not alter the lure's presentation. With soft plastics, the snaps actually work as keeper and prevent the worm (or what have you) from moving up/down the hook. With hard baits, such as a popper, add the snap and an oval split ring. This gives the surface lure more side to side action and makes walking the dog more dramatic.
    After serveral uses, there were a couple minute problems that occured. Being so small (I purchased the medium) there is little surface to place your fingers or pliers. I had a tendenacy to weaken the knot. Always check your line and knot reguardless. Also, after several changes with the same snap, I began to notice the gap was slowly getting larger. A gentle squeeze with the pliers solved the problem.
    Overall this is an okay product that does the job and makes switching lures easy.
