This Ragg Wool Sweater, combined with a good base layer and a hunting coat, kept me completely warm on my bison hunt in February, in South Dakota, at minus 18 degrees. Did I mention blowing snow and a biting wind? Did I mention that I'm a female??? This sweater would be equally at home at the office or beside the fire, but I was certainly happy to have it on this hunt!!! Even lying in the snow waiting for my shot, the cold did not penetrate.
What can be wrong with a ragg wool sweater? Nothing. For those of us always outside it means warmth even when wet. However for those of you who remember the ragg wool sweaters of the late 70's early 80's this one is much lighter in weight. Not exactly what I was expecting from Cabelas, yet it is still a ragg wool and a good buy. I wear mine indoors and outdoors daily so the thinner weave is ok with me. Believe me the price is right.
