landed about 30 stripers this season so far with this rod works awesome the only issue Ive had is the second guide fell out a little epoxy and problem solved so far it has taken a beating and worked awesome very sensitive using 50lb power pro braid with a 5' 50lb vanish leader and a sargus reel worth every penny and would recomend to anyone I fish 8 hours a day every day porgi blackfish stripers cod sand sharks and fluke. early season stripers were mouthing alot and you could just about feel them swim by.

Good rod for the price. Using it with 12# mono in the back bays. I would say 1/2 oz. to 2oz lures work fine.

I find this rod an improvement over my other rods. It has the backbone to cast with 5 oz weight yet has a sensitive tip to detect fish action. The performance is all of what I wanted
