Awesome Rod
Date:
One of the best surf rods I've used. It's light graphite blank makes it easy on the trolling wrist, the length gives me awesome casting distance, and it's sensitive too so I can feel the bite. Paired with an Abu Garcia 6500c3 with 20# test line. Can't get enough of this rod!

Question:
Date:
Great looking rod, reviews seem to support an excellent product. I would prefer investing in quality as opposed to not doing so and wishing I had.
Tryin to glean as much info as possible in hopes of assembling a great combo for offshore reef fishing costa Rica, up to 6 oz poppers.
- How many guides on this 11'6" rod?
- Would the Penn Conquer 7 or 8000 be a good match up? If so, which one?
- Thoughts on a good loading appreciated to achieve some good distance.
Thanks Kindly,
KneeDeepCR

Great surf rod
Date:
This is a great surf rod. It strikes a balance between the heavy "broomstick" type surf rods, and the inshore rods that don't have the adequate length or action for the surf.
