Great for everything from working jetties to long-range surf casting. Features include oversized aluminum oxide guides, graphite reel seats, comfortable split foam grips or cork tape handles that reduce the overall weight of the rod. Each action is precisely tuned for launching baits over great distances.

Most models now feature Batson Enterprises® SS316 stainless guides. The lower carbon content of this stainless steel provides better corrosion resistance then standard stainless. These guide's endured the rigorous ASTM B-177 salt spray test for 50 days without signs of corrosion. Inserts are hard aluminum oxide to withstand the abuse of saltwater fishing.

Excellent rod for surf fishing!

I don't have any complaints with this rod. I was using a 12' Okuma, heavy, and it just didn't have good feel. I still use it, but as 2nd rod. The salt striker casts well (handles 6-8 oz), and the action and feel are great. I've recommended to several people.
