Spiderwire® Stealth™ Superbraid 125-Yard Fishing Line – Green

Teflon® pressure-treated construction for quiet, monofilament-like manageability. Gel-spun, polyethylene microfibers glide smoothly over line guides and levelwinds without causing cuts or abrasions. The round cross section enables it to lay evenly over the spool without digging in or binding. New improved Color-Lock technology means the line will maintain its color and not fade. Casts 15% farther than other lines.

The best braid in my book

When i went to spider wire stealth i stayed. Its the best braid i have ever used. Slick ,smooth, yet sturdy enough to prevent wind knots. I have used the 20 , 30, 40, 50, 65 and 80. I don't know if they still make all those sizes but nowdays i just use the 20 ( 6lb dia ) on my trout rod and 50 ( 12lb dia ) for bass, steelhead ,spring chinook and coho. And 80 for fall nooks. I still use green for trout but i use the yellow for everything else. Big fish dont care. I always tie in a piece of mono as a bumper on the end to make it easier to break off if needed.
I still like mono for certain situations but braid is the new way for mainlines. Spiderwire started the trend, and their still the best !

I've used the 10lb/2dia and 20lb/6dia for years and think it's the best superline and overall line you can buy. Buy it when it's on sale or when there is a rebate and you cannot beat the price. Note that you will not have to change this line near as often as mono or other Superlines. In fact, I've had the same line on a few of my reels for over seven years! Great line.

Overall Good Line

I use this line in 15lb and 6lb. The 15 I use for Tiger Muskie fishing and it works fantastic, never had it break or birds nest. It is strong enough that I dont need to worry about following the Muskie all over the lake and can just bring it in strong. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that when I use the 6lb for trout and bass they seem to be able to see the green line. I dont really like using leader, takes up time setting it up and gives multiple places for line/gear failure, so having to use mono leader is pretty annoying. I will be trying another super line for my little reel once I run through the Spiderwire. Overall it is great line, I will continue to use it on all my big reels.
