Ono's Oak Harbor Polarized Sunglasses with Readers

The lightweight tortoise-pattern frame has a slight wraparound style that’s a perfect fit for medium and large face sizes. Here's my situation. I'm 51 years old. Just came from the eye doctor where I was told I needed transitional lenses/bifocals. I was gonna get sunglasses too, but the Ray Bans I picked out were gonna be around $400. I was torn, but didn't buy them. I found these Ono's and thought I'd give them a try, because my main problem is seeing/reading the gauges on the dashboard of my truck and boat. I bought the tortoise shell frame and brown lens, just like the Ray Bans I had picked out. One word...AWESOME. I only wore them for a short while, but I was able to drive AND see the gauges on my dash. Since I've never had bifocals I'm sure there is an adjustment period, but I know the more I wear these the more I'm gonna like them. They look just like the Ray Bans and appear to be very good quality. They fit nicely, look good and I can see to read.

the glasses, though apparently well made, did not fit my head or cover my eyes. they would be great for my wife possibly, but i sent them back.

Polarized sunglasses

These looked just like the photo in the catalog, but were very unsatisfactory.
They work OK optically but are ridiculous for fishing usage. The case is a huge hard box that will not fit into any fishing pocket or vest, and looks as though it should go in somebody's fancy handbag. They are too bulky to store without the case. The lenses are far too small to protect the eyes on saltwater or a big river.
In short, these are stylish dude glasses to be worn in some sidewalk cafe in Rome, not fishing glasses. I am dismayed that Cabelas, an honest and solid sport gear seller, should carry them. They should not be offered for serious anglers.
I was very disappointed.

Great glasses

I have used the ono sunglasses for a couple weeks now. I love them, During a recent fishing trip the reader bifocals came in very handy tieing knots in fishing line. I dont leave home without them.
