Lenses are impregnated with 100% UV protection to block the sun's harmful rays – and it won't wear off over
time. CR-39 lenses are known for their optically correct resolution, scratch resistance and light weight. Anti-reflective,
water-repellent coating sheds water and snow. Glass lenses feature encapsulated, scratchproof
mirrors. Costa C-Mates combine the magnification of corrective glasses with the visual acuity of Costa polarized

optical-quality glass lenses. 580P lenses pass ANSI Z80.3 and ANSI Z87.1 high-impact/velocity testing. On top of
ANSI-approved safety, 580P lenses also feature Costa's C-Wall™ coating for effortless cleaning and durability.
C-Wall is chemically fused into the lens during production. This process insures that the protective molecules cover the
lens surface perfectly to repel water and keep fingerprints, oils and other contaminants from adhering to the lens.
Plus, the C-Wall coating gives the 580P lenses scratch-resistant durability not found in other polycarbonate lenses. In
fact, steel-wool scratch tests showed no scratches in 300 cycles – try that with ordinary plastic lenses.
