The multi-position back plates accommodate all arrow nocks, regardless of
size. An extra-long design allows even more room for release aids. Four
anti-vibration screws with nylon patches eliminate nock creep. Aircraft aluminum
construction.
After a few shots, the law of enertia caused my Ultra-Nok to rotate on the string, and it ended up pointing forward, making release hook-up a hassle. This no matter how tight I made it. After reading so many "good" reviews about this "complicated solution to a nonexistant problem", I wonder what I was doing wrong. I did, however, think it was wrong to have to mess with it all the time, and put up with the extra noise on hook-up and firing. This same phenomena happens with string loops and even slightly with the clamp-on nok sets with the peep aligner that I now use. Eventually the law of enertia causes them to point forward, making nocking and release hook-up less convenient than simply hooking-up to the string under a cushion nok set. What purpose do they serve? I get perfect arrow flight hooking-up on the string, and don't chew my nocks up with the release. In order to keep your "effective" draw length exactly the same, you end up having to shorten the bow's draw length by 1/2", thus losing some power stroke and velocity. If you are handicapped by being a short draw archer, you need all the speed you can get. I guess you can change your anchor point or extend your arm another 1/2" to compensate for the extended hook-up point.
the Ultra-Nok XL is a great product. it lets you draw with your sight in the same position without having to use the rubber tubing. was easy to install and set up.
I installed this product on a PSE x-force. Bad news! The D-ring needs a flat strap in line with the back side of string. The D-ring is to fat, it needs to be trimmed down. When I placed arrow on string it twisted the string and D-ring to the side, placing D-ring out of center line. When I moved D-ring to center line the arrow fell off string and onto ground. I had to hold string and D-ring in line to get the arrow to stay on. When I fired arrow with my release I got a hang fire, this sent the arrow to who knows where. This unit is very hard to install without a magnetic screwdriver.
This is what I was looking for, no more rope to try and find while I was hunting. Easy to install and I can't tell any difference in shoting this comepaired to my rope.
