Cast into a school of striped bass and get one every time! I commonly get 2-3 strikes per cast if I'm retrieving too fast. Stripers LOVE these because they resemble the shad they feed on so heavily. Size 6 works well for 5-6 weight rods.

this spring me and my dad went up to fish the catskills when we got there it was just after a huge flood which meant high fast muddy waters we stopped at a store to get the scoop and it was bad but me and my dad didnt stop...... so we caught some whoppers fishin these zonkers it was a great outcome of our trip since were inexperienced using fly outfits. the zonker created perfect action in these waters and we caught monster browns pearl white is the way to go
