Gold bead woolly bugger great for steelhead

These things flat out catch steelhead. I keep a fly box loaded with them. Spring and fall this is my go to fly.
Some days its the only fly I tie on and I've not been disappointed. For me they work just as good as more expensive woolly buggers from fly shops.

This happens to be one of the best Wooly Buggers I have ever used. I purchased several in Black and they have just enough color in the thorax that they really attract Trout in the Cumberland River where I do most of my local fly fishing. A Great product.

When all else fails

My son and I started fly fishing last year and when all else failed we tied one of these on and hammered the trout. It is basically the only bait my son will use!
