I use woolly buggers about 90% of the time in various colors. This is a good one for getting down deep. Because the smallest size is a 6 Trout can see them in merky waters which can be useful during the spring runoff.

Great for sinking and getting down deep but very heavy with such a large bead head and hard to cast with a fly rod because its so heavy.
