Cabela's Camper's Kitchen is the answer to a camping connoisseur's wildest fantasies. This lightweight, compact unit sets up in a flash. The frame is made of tubular aluminum that's strong and light enough to make it easy to carry. All you have to do is unfold it, snap the wire shelf and center tabletop into place, hang the two weather-resistant pantries in place, load in your pots and pans, utensils, spices, groceries and you're in business.
One of the frustrating things about cooking outdoors is finding things. In the past, I've spent as much time looking through storage totes as I have actually preparing a meal. With the Camper's Kitchen it's a different story. There's plenty of space in the pantries for storing canned goods as well as non-perishable foods. An eye-level shelf above the work surface is ideal for storing spices and small items that need to be handy.
Underneath that shelf, seven hooks are provided for hanging pans, skillets and keeping cooking utensils within easy reach. Above that shelf, two vertical extensions with hooks provide a convenient place to hang two lanterns so you don't have to struggle with lighting when you get back to camp late, or for those pre-dawn breakfasts. You can also keep your paper towels handy on one of the lantern supports, but put a rubber band around them. The wind caught our roll and wound off 15 feet before it could be stopped.

For this field test, a small hibachi was used, but there is plenty of room for a three-burner Coleman stove. It took just a few minutes to go from unzipping the carrying bag to the sizzle of meat smoldering over an open flame, a wonderful smell in the cool mountain air.
Once you're ready to head back home, it folds down and packs into the provided 42" x 26" x 14" Cordura® nylon carrying bag that's so compact you'll have little trouble finding a place to fit it into your load.
This expansive outdoor kitchen even has a built-in sink that hangs underneath the center tabletop, to make cleanup much easier, although that isn't much of an issue for me. My rule is the camp cook doesn't do dishes. Makes sense to me, and so does Cabela's Camper's Kitchen. If you've been frustrated with mealtime outdoors, this unit is the solution.
