I'm a bowhunter, but I'm not a techie guy. I like to hunt. I don't like to tinker. That's my favorite thing about Lazer Strike II Broadheads — screw them on and go hunting. No tinkering.

A lot of broadheads claim to fly like field points. Lazer Strike II's are guaranteed to do so. In my testing, they lived up to the guarantee. The retaining ring on the three stainless-steel blades sits behind the pivot point for faster opening on contact. The ferrule is aircraft-grade aluminum with a carbon-steel tip.

At the range, these heads hit exactly where my field points were hitting. I made no adjustments to my sight pins or any other bow adjustments. Saving one head for practice, I put the rest on my Stalker Extreme hunting arrows and headed to Wyoming for a pronghorn hunt.

When a nice buck visited our waterhole and offered a broadside shot at 27 yards, I released the Lazer Strike II-tipped arrow. What I didn't account for was the 40-mph crosswind. Though the shot looked too far back, the devastating 1 1/4" cutting diameter of these heads really opened up a large wound channel on the pass-through shot, and my first archery pronghorn went down quickly.
