Family Outdoor Day at Cabela’s Saturday, June 8th 10:00am - 4:00pm Outside of Store
Introduce youth to the outdoors and let Cabela’s and the US Sportsmen’s Alliance help teach basics skills for shooting, archery, camp cooking, fishing, fly fishing, camping, and hiking. Bring your friends and family to Cabela’s, register and experience one of the many fun activities.

Join fly fishing outfitter and Cabela’s mentor Bill Krpalek for an intro into steelhead fly fishing on the Willamette River. This class requires you bring your own rod and reel, and equipment, and Bill will share techniques for catching summer steelhead on the Willamette. Limited to 10 students. Ladies’ Only Self-Protection: Handguns and Non-Lethal Tactics Wednesday, June 12th 6:00pm - 8:00pm Training Room
Learn from a trained female and Cabela’s outfitter, self-protection tactics. During this two-hour session, our outfitter will introduce different handguns preferred by women for self-protection, and she will share defense strategies and tactics to remember and use under stress or during an attack. Need some concealed apparel or a purse? We will show off what is available at Cabela’s.

Bring your family in for a treasure hunt and test out one of Cabela’s metal detectors. Great for beach trips, finding lost items, and more, Cabela’s offers a number of models with various features. All youth 12 and under have the opportunity to find a Cabela’s treasure.
The Law and Logic of Armed Self Defense Saturday, June 22nd 1:30pm Training Room
Would you get a driver's license without learning the rules of the road? Of course not, nor would you get a concealed carry license without understanding the legal "rules of the road" for deadly force. This is a "must have" course for anyone who has a gun or who is thinking of buying one for self-defense. Instructor is a lawyer and police trainer.

Inflatable Life Jackets

See a first-hand demonstration on how one of our inflatable life jackets discharges. We will also show you how to recharge it after the first use.
Navigation for Hikers

Learn important tips on navigation to keep you safe on your next hike. Learn to use a map and compass, handheld GPS and more. This free class will also be good for youth as well, and teach them what to do if separated from the group while hiking or camping.
Oregon Concealed Handgun License Class Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd and 23rd 9:00am - 12:00pm Training Room
Take your pick of either Saturday or Sunday's 9:00am Oregon Concealed Handgun License classes. Instructor is a lawyer and police trainer. Required to carry concealed in Oregon, laws and Oregon’s policies will be discussed. Class fees are paid directly to instructor in advance.

Oregon’s water bodies are tempting to play in during the summer, but make sure you are safe. Join Lane County Search and Rescue for the 3rd Annual Life Jacket Exchange, June 29 and 30, at Cabela’s. Bring your old life jacket that doesn’t fit and swap it out for a FREE life jacket that does. Did your child outgrow their first life jacket? Exchange these too-small life jackets this weekend only at Cabela’s for FREE. Sizes are available on a first come first serve basis.

Cabela’s is proud to provide support for area charities and conservation partners. Due to the large volume of requests received, we have established a policy for all donations. Our retail program supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located within 100 miles of this retail store. All requests must be submitted online for consideration at least forty-five days prior to the event.

In order to assist the largest number of organizations annually, we can consider only one donation request per organization, per calendar year.
