Pat Goodale Defensive Handgun I Course June 1, Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Yellowstone Conference Room
This course introduces the student to techniques applicable to defensive use of the handgun. Emphasis is put on shooting skill development for application in real-life circumstances. The fundamentals of Mindset, Gun-handling, and Marksmanship are covered in lecture while the practical aspects are taught on the range.

Each course (Handgun I & II) requires a separate registration/fee of $200 per person/per day.

Completion of Handgun I required before taking handgun II.

Live fire will take place 2:00pm -5:00pm at the Blue Creek Shooting Complex.
Pat Goodale Defensive Handgun II Course June 2, Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Yellowstone Conference Room
This course begins with an evaluation of the performance expected at the conclusion of Defensive Handgun I (or equivalent), and progresses quickly into an emphasis on applying more advanced techniques under more difficult real-life situations. The development of Reflexive / Subconscious ability is taught.
 
Each course (Handgun I & II) requires a separate registration/fee of $200 per person/per day.

Live fire will take place 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Blue Creek Shooting Complex.
Civilian Pistol Level I and II Friday, June 7th 5:30pm to 7:30pm Yellowstone Conference Room
This course will be taught by law enforcement professionals from   Stillwater Tactical. Classroom instruction will take place at Cabela's on June 7th followed by three hours range time at the Stillwater Tactical facility at Molt on Saturday, June 8th.

The Level I / II Pistol Course is designed for individuals new to pistols and those who have a basic understanding of pistols. This course introduces the shooter to the range safety, proper handling of a firearm, proper grip, proper stance, sighting, and basic holster work.

APPROXIMATELY 200 ROUNDS of ammunition will be required. Full size semi-auto pistol or revolver preferred.
 
Cost is $150 per person. Each person who signs up will receive a $25 Cabela's gift card. Class limited to 20 students and pre-registration is required.

Backcountry Elk Camp

Join a professional outfitter and discover what it takes to set up elk camp in the backcountry. From wall tents and cots, to pack horses it will all be there to see. There will be some good fixin’s on the stove for sampling too!
Elk and Deer Mounting Demonstration with Timber Ridge Taxidermy

Watch as industry expert’s show step by step how to shoulder mount a mule deer and an elk. If you like taxidermy you won’t want to miss this fun activity!
Simulated Shot Placement
10:00am-3:00pm at the Front of Store
This hands-on activity will show you proper shot placement on big game animals utilizing a laser. Different angles and body position will be discussed along with other factors such as wind and distance.
Fly Tying With Magic City Fly Fishers

Join Magic City Fly Fishers as they demonstrate how to tie a fly. Learn why this activity is so popular and fun for the whole family.

Multistate (MT, UT, AZ) Concealed Carry Firearm Permit Thursday, June 20th 5:00pm - 9:00pm Yellowstone Conference Room
This one class qualifies you to obtain the Montana, Utah, and Arizona concealed firearm permits. A student who completes this course will be qualified to carry in up to 37 states! The class will be taught by an attorney and will emphasize state and federal laws regarding the use of deadly force, carry and transport of a firearm, and much more!

Cabela’s is proud to provide support for area charities and conservation partners. Due to the large volume of requests received, we have established a policy for all donations. Our retail program supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located within 100 miles of this retail store. All requests must be submitted online for consideration at least forty-five days prior to the event.

In order to assist the largest number of organizations annually, we can consider only one donation request per organization, per calendar year.
