Introduction to Fly Fishing Equipment and Fly Casting
Cabela’s outfitters, certified by the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF), will teach a free, two-hour, hands-on fly fishing course every Saturday April through October. Instruction will begin in the fly shop where instructors will present fly rods, reels, lines, leaders, tippets and flies. You will get an introduction into entomology and learn which flies to use and when. The class will move outdoors where proper fly casting technique will be taught. All equipment will be provided.

Planning a staff meeting? How about a business luncheon? Try a new location and something different! Cabela's conference rooms are available for rent: $75 for half the room or $150 for the whole room for the day that can accommodate up to 125 people. If you have a group of 5 or more and would like a guided tour of our store, please contact Jamie Klund, Events Coordinator, at 775-829-4128 for future details. We have two, 7,000-gallon aquariums, over 200 trophy mounts including our North American display at the back of the store on Conservation Mountain, an African safari diorama collection in the middle of the store and numerous mounts and displays of land and aquatic wildlife throughout the store. We also have several rare and collectible handguns, rifles and shotguns in our Gun Library, a shooting gallery, free fudge samples in our General Store and much more.
Donation Guidelines      
Cabela’s is proud to provide support for area charities and conservation partners. Due to the large volume of requests received, we have established a policy for all donations. Our retail program supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located within 100 miles of this retail store. All requests must be submitted online for consideration at least forty-five days prior to the event.

In order to assist the largest number of organizations annually, we can consider only one donation request per organization, per calendar year.
