Learn the proper steps to disassemble, clean and maintain your 1911 style handgun. Requirements: 1911 Handgun, At least 1 Magazine, Cleaning Supplies, Gun Rug or Towel that the firearm can be cleaned on, Safety Glasses If you do not have the proper cleaning equipment or cleaners, items can be purchased from Cabela’s before class begins. Instructors will advise you on what you will need before the class begins. The course is NOT a certified armorer’s course for any particular manufacturer.  Our Concealed Carry Endorsement – Firearms Safety Training Course meets the mandatory training requirements established by Missouri State Statute and is approved by the standards set forth by each individual Missouri Sheriff's Department. In addition, this training course exceeds the standards and requirements set forth by the state of Florida for their respective Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit. Handgun knowledge and/or experience is NOT required in order to take this course! The course places a special emphasis on:
The course consists of eight (8) hours of intense instruction, beginning with an interactive lecture held at Cabela's, followed by live-fire range training at Ultimate Defense Firing Range and Training Center. Upon successful completion of training, each individual will be issued a certificate of Firearms Safety Training and the appropriate completed paperwork necessary for submitting your Concealed Carry application. Our volunteer instructors travel across the country teaching those who attend about the difficult choices, the heroic actions, and the sacrifices that the Founders made on behalf of modern Americans, all of whom are their posterity. Our heritage program vividly portrays the Battles of Lexington and Concord with the kind of care and immediacy that is absent from most formal schooling. Modern listeners are confronted with the danger, the fear, and the heartbreaking separations that arose out of the choices made on April 19th, 1775. They are also reminded of the marksmanship skills and masterful organization that ultimately helped set the colonists on the path to success. Those who attend gain a better understanding of the fundamental choices faced by our ancestors as they began to set the stage for the nation we now enjoy. We invite you to attend our Annual Appleseed Safety, Marksmanship and Heritage Clinic. Cabela’s is proud to provide support activities that include the youth in hunting, fishing, camping also for area charities and conservation partners. Due to the large volume of requests received, we have established policy for all donations. Our retail program supports Nonprofit 501(c) (3) organizations located within Missouri. All requests must be mailed on official letterhead of the beneficiary at least sixty days prior to the event date. Request can be submitted to: http://information.cabelas.com/support In order for your request to be considered, please include the following information: date of the event and brief description, information on the beneficiary, how you plan to use item (auction, raffle, etc.), and contact name and telephone number. In order to assist the largest number of organizations annually, we can consider only one donation request per organization, per calendar year. If you are outside of our market area, please contact the store closest to your event, or contact our corporate headquarters for consideration. |
