Developed on the coast of Maine to withstand brutal cross winds and crippling salt water corrosion, the 2008 AutoLoader is unmatched in artistic design and rock solid performance. And now it's available with metric hardware and easy-to-install T-knobs. Comes with a built-in boarding ramp for easy kayak loading and unloading and multiple strap slots to secure various load types and sizes. Simple no tools required fit hardware for round, square and most factory oval cross rails. Kit includes two J-style cradles, two 12-ft. cam buckle straps, two Jawz™ universal fit mounting blocks, four 40mm and 50mm bolts and T-knobs. Corrosion proof polycarbon frame with ribbed synthetic rubber padding. 70 lb., 32"-wide kayak carrying capacity. Manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

Got 2 pair of the Malone J-Style Kayak Carriers for my SUV 4 months ago and used all summer. I attach to the factory rack. They are easy on and easy off. The shape of the front edge of the loader makes it easy to slip the yaks up into position when I have them up over my head. The kayaks are very solid and stable at highway speeds. High quality materials and design. Should last a lifetime. You won't be disappointed!!

Although we found our other J_style carrier quite easy to use, The Malone's built in loader "ramp" made it much easier! The less time and effort it takes to load and unload, the more time spent on the water.

Malone Kayak J-hooks are the best

Our friends have them and we got to see that they fit perfectly and worked great on top of their van. We had to get a universal rack for our Toyota sedans. The J-hooks fit this rack great as well. The system is very well thought out. Instructions were very helpful. These J-hooks install and can be removed in only minutes beacuse of the easy to use wing nuts. With these J-hooks you spend more time enjoying the Kayaks instead of it being a chore to have to load and unload them. When loading and unloading Kayaks is too much work people will shy away from using them. Product is definitely worth every dollar we spent.

Overall the carrier is very good and the universal fit to the existing roof rack on my truck made it all very easy to assemble. Our Kayaks fit very easy into the racks and are very stable even on the interstate. The only complaint is the plastic pad attached to the tie down section of the strap ripped as soon as the strap was run through it and the strap was tightened.
