Not Waterproof

Plan on emptying the water out the the cover after each rain to prevent mildew damage if you plan to store the canoe outside on a rack. I will try to install several small grommets in the bottom of the cover to let it drain by itself. No problem with the zipper yet. I would still recommend this cover to a friend since I haven't found anything better.

porous canoe cover

this cover fit fine & probably protects it from sun damage, but we had hoped that the wood rims would stay dry & not need to be refinished (which we'd done in the past). unfortunately, the water collects & needs to be emptied after the rain...time will tell if it helps or not.
