One of the most stable, user- friendly seats for hunting in the muck. Three rugged steel lateral supports spread when inserted in the mud for stability in all directions. Adjustable seat height. Molded-plastic seat. Shoulder strap for easy transport.
I'm almost completely satisfied with this stool: it's very stable, durable and easy adjustable. Don't give 5 stars because seat is not folding, making transportation a little bit complicated. But overall its a perfect must have item for an avid duck hunter.
After researching both manufactured and home-built designs, I settled on the Mojo because of the thought given to the design features. In hand, it has what you would ask for; light weight, comfort, compactness and carry ability. In the field, the adjustments for set up are a challenge.
Those inadequacies of set up are excusable. Poor design execution and choice of materials is another. On only the second useage the seat pole broke where the pin adjustment exists. This occurred while shooting. Fortunately, the result was a fall in the marsh and a missed shot. The consequences of a fall could have been disastrous.
Until Mojo addresses the strengthening and support issues, avoid this product unless you plan on using it as an observation post for bird watching and not for duck hunting.
This seat is very stable. The paddles have a adjustable height depth, depending upon what kind of bottom the marsh has. The seat isn't made for sitting for long periods. We also have the Avery Marsh Seat, and this seat is a lot more stable. The only issue occured on the first time out, the clips that hold the strap broke while I was pulling the seat out of the mud.
I received this mud seat as a gift from my father and have used it 4 times so far. I have been the envy of my hunting buddies. While they stand in the marsh with aching backs, I am sitting in a nice low profile and am pain free. The three legs do a good job of offering stability in the muck. I am very pleased and plan to buy additional seats as gifts for my sons.
