IT IS WHAT IT IS. A SMALL CHAIR THAT TRANSPORTS NICELEY IN THE BLIND BAG. NOT DESIGNED FOR COMFORT. NEVER HAD THE PROBLEMS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I CHOSE IT FOR ITS LOW TO THE GROUND ASPECT(SOMTHING TO THINK ABOUT WITH THE EXCESSIVE LENGTH OF SOME BOWS HITTING THE TOP OF THE BLIND WHEN SHOOTING.LOUD!!) ITS ABOUT THE LOWEST ONE AVAILABLE. ALWAYS SWIVELS AND SEEMS BUILT TOUGH. TWO SEASONS OF USE SO FAR. JUST PUNCH DOWN OR CLEAR A SPOT ON THE GROUND FOR LEVELING. I THINK OTHER USERS DID NOT DO THIS AND I THINK IF YOU DID NOT LEVEL OUT A SURFACE, YOU COULD DAMAGE IT. PRETTY QUIET TOO! I WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE WHEN THIS ONE FAILS. 4 STARS BECAUSE I HAVENT SHOT A DEER OUT OF IT YET.
I purchased this chair inspite of other bad reviews, but choose it because it is the only chair i can find that swivels. I weigh 235 Lbs and the chair worked great and folds back up. The posts that hook to the seat need to be pulled out before they will fold. Some instructions would have been helpfull, but it took about five minutes to figure out and works great and I weigh more than the 200 Lb test.
This chair is a nice size, design...except that it doesn't work. Set up nicely at first, comfy enough for me (170#) all day, but then it won't fold up. Permanently open now. I bought it for easy transport/storage, so 1 star. It hasn't broken yet, is comfy enough, so I will continue to use it when carrying it fully deployed (leave it in blind for several weeks, ice fishing, etc) isn't too much hassle.
I bought this product despite all of the negitive reviews. What attracted me to this stool was its size and storability. I went to the Cabelas store and tried out the store model. I agree it could be more comfortable.
With that said this stool was designed to be small and light. I had no problem with the tripod legs but you dont need to have an engineering degree to know that a heavy person is not going to be well suited for this stool.
I weigh 180 lb and this stool was exactly what I was looking for, light, easy to set up, and fits in my pack.
