Bell and Carlson Replacement Medalist Rifle Stock - Tan Web

Excellent strength, rigidity and durability is achieved with a special composition that includes hand-placed layers of fiberglass, aramid and carbon fiber throughout the stock. Stocks are lighter than conventional wood stocks in both weight and recoil, and they will withstand hard use, moisture and fast-changing temperatures. Each boasts fine-line checkering, creating a textured finish. Rifle stocks weigh approximately 32 oz., have 13-1/2" L.O.P. and select stocks come in right- or left-hand models. Uncle Mike's sling posts included. Medalist Rifle Stocks sport a computer-designed integral bedding system CNC-machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum running from the grip to the front sling stud for stability. Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.

While this stock is not the best stock on the market, it is my choice for a "best for the money" stock. Construction seems to be top-notch, and it doesn't even seem that heavy for having the full length aluminum bedding block in it.
I mounted it on an old Target Model Remington 722 chambered in .222 Remington (you have to relieve the bolt handle cut a little more for a 722 vs. the 700, as well as update the safety mechanism).
Groups are slightly better and the gun is much more comfortable to shoot from prone with this stock design.
I would definitely buy another one of these particular stocks, but my next B & C stock will be an Alaskan Ti for my .300 Ultramag mountain rifle.

I love my stock

I had heard that these stocks come with a few blemishes, couldn't disagree more. My stock is perfect in every way. the finish is spectacular. The feel of total control that you get from the dual palm swells and vertical grip makes all the difference in the world. Its just so comfortable to hold. I had thought i might need a cheek pad or riser of some sort, no need. This stock aligns my eye perfectly with the scope i have. But yours may differ of course. I have not tested the accuracy yet but will in few days. I'll right another review then.

Excellent tactical Stock for the $.

While not a McMillan, Manners or Stockade, this stock fits the bill for a budget long range rifle, especially for the money. I would rate it as "just as good" as an HS Precision as far as quality and stiffness are concerned.
I took this stock to the next level by modifying the forearm (with a file and Marine-Tex), adding texture with Marine-Tex, skim bedding with DevCon 10110, installing flush cup sling swivels, and adding a Karsten Cheek Piece. It had to be painted after all of the work was done.
It made a very accurate rifle a super accurate rifle, and long range consistency was improved drastically over the Remington factor stock.

I purchased this stock to replace a factory one on my rem 700 25-06. This stock is awesome! fit perfect, looks great, and very sturdy. I plan on buying another one for my 22-250
The gun shot good before, but now it is a real tack driver. the stock reduced the size of my groups at 100 yards from quarter sized groups to dime sized or smaller. I cant say enough just get one!
