Good stereo for any boat
Date:
Good little stereo. Picked this up for my 16ft fishin boat, finishing up the box for it now as I don't have a console on mine. Have had it hooked up in the garage for a couple weeks now using it as the garage stereo system. Everything works good, nice reception in the back of my garage even without the antennae uncoiled. Have 2 of the 4 speakers hooked up and sound is pretty decent for 6.5" speakers.
The other features work good too. Ipod hookup through the aux port work fine, and the USB will charge your phone or ipod. Not sure on playing thru USB as I haven't tested that feature yet.
The SD slot behind the detachable face work great. Display shows the mp3 file info (artist/song etc) as the song plays, and you can skip tracks or whole albums/folders.
Doesn't use much battery at all if the volume is at a decent level, but if you crank it up, you will use more juice.
I'd recommend anyone who wants a new stereo without a CD player in it to pick this up.

I bought this unit for a small fishing boat, and then I decided that I had no room for 4 speakers , nor did not want to cut up my boat dash installing it.
This Boss product is Guaranteed better than any portable boombox on the market and its 12V.
Boss is a great sounding product, even in a bucket, it easily installs anywhere as you can see.
The USB MP3 play and works awesome for hundreds of hours of my favorite music . The unit comes with an AM / FM antenna that picks up local stations easily 50 + miles away.
The face is detachable for theft deterrent, but I find it easier to just lock the whole bucket up in the truck.
This unit also fits in the rear mesh bag'er of my riding mower so that I can blare the tunes while mowing. My Boss is the envy of my neighbors and other small boat fisherman alike on the lake.
A common trash bag carried in the bucket acts as a nice rain, water fly to cover over the whole unit in rain or rough spray waters.
