  • Waterproof, impact-resistant construction
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Porro prism produces excellent image quality
  • Twist-up eyecup
  • Sunshade included
A big-time performer in a light, compact package. Ideal when space is critical. Rugged, waterproof, impact-resistant construction. Two versions: Angled eyepiece allows a lower mounting height for stability in the wind, improved comfort and use of a smaller tripod. The angled model has a rotating tripod ring which permits rotation of the eyepiece to a sideways position. Straight body excels at speedy target acquisition. Porro prism produces maximum image quality. Eyecup twists up and down to precise settings for optimum comfort with or without eyeglasses. Sunshade reduces glare and shields the lens. O-rings seals repel moisture. Nitrogen-filled. Fogproof.

Awesome

Bought this scope after exstensive research on other scopes in this price range. Lets just say hands down best scope period for the money. Had it out on the first day i bought it, could see objects clearly and with large field of view at close to 3 miles away. Could see cell phone towers clearly about 15 miles away. Compared to leupold, nikon, alpen, cabelas no comparison. I would compare it more to your top of the line scopes like swavorski and zies. Especially for the money totally thrilled cant beat it.

Disapointed
Date:
Decided to buy this scope after reading good reviews and promise of great warranty. Compared this scope to my old $100 Winchester spotting scope and found the optics to be of the same quality - not particularly clear. Magnification and focus controls feel really cheap. Will be returning these.

I have been using this spotter for about a year now, and could not be more happy with it. The optics are crystal clear. The compact size of this scope is perfect for throwing in the daypack. I have friends with Nikon and Swarovski spotters and I would pick the Nomad over them any day. This really is a awesome scope. I've been so happy with Vortex Optics that I'm replacing my rifle scopes and bino's with Vortex also.

NOT MENT FOR THE RANGE!!!
Date:
I was amazed with vortex viper scopes on all aspects so I thought it would be a good bet to buy the nomad for a spotting scope. This spotting scope is GOOD only for UNDER 100 yards at range and spotting large game. Vortex totally let me down with the quality of glass. The best spotting scope in this price range hands down is Redfield rampage.
