Independently operated and focusable long-range infrared illuminator acts as a flashlight that's invisible to the naked eye for clear observation over 100 yards in total darkness. This was my first night vision unit and I found the unit difficult to focus. Images of people at night were not readily seen when the unit was tested.

I bought these for my husband, to watch the wildlife in the backyard but they are so ineffective that we usually don't bother with them. The biggest problem is that the field of vision is very small and by the time you find whatever you want to see and try to focus, the animal is gone. For night vision, they were very inexpensive and you get what you pay for. My recommendation is not to waste your money and to wait until you can buy the real thing.
