I purchased this ATN Mars 6x-3 night vision weapon sight to improve my hunting results. I had a gen 1 scope, which for the price is not bad, but i needed something that allows me to see further and better. When I switched to the Mars6x-3 scope I instantly saw remarkable results in the image quality. Now when I hunt I sit high up in the tree and can scan the wilderness around me and watch the deer coming in from a further distance at dawn and catch them before they realize I am there

Good Quality for The Money

I purchased an ATN Mars4x with an ITT 3P tube directly from ATN actually before many retail outlets started offering it, and have had good luck with the scope so far. I have had mine for close to a year. I don't recommend using it on anything larger than a 6.8 SPC. I had mine on a 308 AR-10 and the recoil caused spots to start appearing. After putting it on a 6.8 SPC, the spots stopped. Once deer season started this October and I quit night hunting hogs until it ends, I sent the scope back to ATN and they replaced the tube with no hassle. I would give it five stars except for the fact that it is suppose to handle the recoil on rifles up to 308, but it has been my experience that it will not. There are scopes out there that will handle recoil better, but you pay a much greater price. Night vision is expensive but it has been the best option I have found if you are going to seriously night hunt hogs, and I have tried just about everything.

Wonderful scope

The Mars scope I purchased is Gen 3 with 6x magnification. This device is very well made from high quality materials. The optics is very clear which provides perfect image even in the tough low light conditions. The scope is a little heavy but with 6x power it is expected. At the same time this magnification extends the visible distance dramatically. I love this scope and I hope to use it for many years.

ATN MARS 6 WPT, Best Night Scope I've used

The product was ordered on a Sunday and received on the following Saturday. The clarity is superior to what I used in the military and the system was sighted in for use within 20 minutes.
After using the unit it does take more time to readjust your eye than a red or even green, but the contrast and clarity while using the scope is a worthy trade off.
The adjustable IR spotlight included is fantastic for moon less nights, overcast nights, to light up preditors eyes, and to see into shadow areas.
Anyone that has worried about buying a night scope and ending up paying alot for a cheap toy... This is no toy and it's worth every penny!
A 270 Yd kill shot on a coyote at 10:30 at night was easily made using this scope.
