clearest spotting scope ever

I recently used it on a mule deer hunt in Utah.It did really good in low light conditions .It was very clear all the way threw to 40 power .It helped me spot a 180 inch muley at 750 yards .That i was fortunate to enough to take.

Scope is clear, but not on the level of some of the European optics, focus is to coarse, Priced a little high for what you get. Like other leupold products more name than performance at times.
Weight and size are ideal or packing and field use though.

I decided to finally purchase this spotting scope and I am not dissapointed. I was a little worried about the focusing mechanism by reading other reviews, so this was the first thing a tried out. I am not sure what people are complaining about, it was a little stiff but was not having a problem with it jarring the scope. The reason it is stiffer than other scopes is because it is a waterproof scope. You dont want water in your scope. The optics are crystal clear and there is plenty of eye relief at all magnifications. I also liked the cover that was included, you can keep the scope on the tripod without taking the cover off. I have yet to find any defect in it and cant wait to use it hunting in Eastern Washington. Another great product from Leupold.

everything about this spotting scope was exceptional apart from one thing, which to me is a deal breaker. With stationary game this is not as big an issue, but for game that is on the move it is almost impossible to focus without either, jarring the scope, or over adjusting it either way. Leupold needs to correct this defect or i am afraid it will lose market share. I have owned countless leupold scopes and binoculars and never had i problem with them.
