Bought this scope to replace my low end scope on the range. It looked good in the store. It is marginally better than my low-end scope...but just barely. Furthermore, it has a price tag much higher than its quality justifies. I've always had good luck with Cabelas products. Not in this case. If looking for a scope I'd look elsewhere.

Bought this on sale. Didn't really need one, but I didn't have one. Has good clarity and stability up to 50-60 power. 80 is hard to keep steady, even with the tripod, and it isn't really clear. Will work good to sight in rifles, and to do some pre-season whitetail scouting from a distance.

This is an ok product. does not focus well at higher powers. the clarity is good 20-40 after that hard to see through. Used it for very long hunt in alaska and long days will fatigue your eyes to piont of head ache. Use your money and buy a better scope. have had several that preformed much better.

I like to sight my .308 in at 200 yds. Using for target acquistion is fine, but trying to find your shot... Questionable at 200 yds. I expected a better scope from Cabela's. Construction is good. Case and tripod very good. This being an 80 power spotting scope?? I couldn't find or see multiple .308 holes at 200 yds on a 300 yd regular target (non florescent). Numbers are somewhat clear, but finding a hole within the 10 ring? Forget looking at 300yds unless using florescent targets. If you want a great 100yd spotting scope this would be the one... but for greater than 100.. I'm looking to get a diff. scope.
