Butterfly Jigging is based on a revolutionary kind of deep-water fishing developed in the 1990s. Butterfly Jigs offer an innovative alternative to traditional jig fishing by using a uniquely shaped jig to create a spiral darting action on the retrieve. The end result is more reaction strikes from a wide range of game-fish species. The new Flat-Side Butterfly Jigs perform best in the common situation of jigging from a drifting boat when wind or current makes vertical fishing difficult. Hooks and rings not included. Per each.

In the bays and ocean up here in Alaska, butterfly jigs catch Everything. Lings, salmon, rockfish, halibut, cod. Effective trolled or jigged, and I'm sure they'd work well cast off beaches, too. They sink fast and have an absolutely killing action. Use with assist hooks, braided line & ball bearing swivels.
