Mepps Syclops Spoon

Mepps Syclops spoons successfully serve the angler who's fishing for a range of game fish. There's a Syclops size for nearly all kinds of freshwater and some saltwater species, from salmon and northern pike to panfish and walleye. This versatile spoon casts easily and can be trolled at almost any speed, and it's also ideal for pier fishing.

Took a selection of Syclops to the Georgian Bay in Ontario for some fall pike fishing. More fish were caught on the Syclops by a 3:1 margin than any of the other lures including our old reliable "Husky Jerk". Chartreuse, pink and silver seemed to be the best colors this time out. Go Mepps!

The Mepps Syclops is nothing short of a fish magnet. Use the big one for bass, the medium one for Crappie and small one ice jigging. Add a white pork trailer to the big one and catch big bass....I'm sure the big Pike will like this rig too. Good fishing!

I may be bias toward mepps products, but there is a very good reason for that....THEY CATCH FISH! I own lots of lures and i give them all a try. The lures that catch fish gain my confidence and end up on my line more often, this is one of those lures. Earlier this fall was my first exposure to the syclops. We were fishing northern WI in oct. during cold front conditions. It was windy but that is no problem for the 1oz syclops, it casts like a bullet. I hooked up with a muskie (it shook the hook) and caught a nice smallmouth bass. Those were the only fish we caught on lures, it was very slow fishing.
