Luhr Jensen® Crippled Herring

Designed and built to take advantage of the strong natural predatory instinct of all game fish. Imitates an injured baitfish and is viewed as an easy meal by large predator fish which are generally "lazy" and will frequently pass by thousands of healthy baitfish to attack one in distress. On its downward fall, the Crippled Herring flutters and darts erratically grabbing the attention of nearby gamefish. Features a crinkle finish that gives it a realistic baitfish look and a single Siwash salmon hook for solid hookups. Outstanding for vertical jigging, casting and snap-jigging. Allows jigging in 15 feet to 120 feet of water.

These are the most versatile lure I have ever used. I use them for topwater, midwater and bottom fishing in both saltwater and freshwater. I've caught everything from Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Bluefish, Pickerel, Fluke to Bonito. Add pork rind, a squid strip or a baitfish to sweeten it up and you will rarely be skunked.

I have used these Crippled Herrings since I was a kid (I am now in my late twenties) and have always been extremely impressed with them.
I have used them for just about everything in my area, the central coast of California, but I have had the best luck with rockfish and lings using them in all the color variations.
A great tip - I use them as my weight in shallower boat fishing and they never fail to disappoint me.

Worked great i caught and released 4 cuttthroat in about 20 minutes before snagging on a big rock.
