Using exclusive TC4 technology, Shimano created the lightest, smallest-diameter and most powerful big-water rod ever built. Groundbreaking Fuji® K-Series Guides with Alconite® rings eliminate tangles with a sloped profile. They feature a flared, arched bridge that lets tangle-causing loops automatically slip off the guide. The angled brace and ring frame also increase line speed, accuracy and durability. Custom skeletonized aluminum reel seats and custom-shaped EVA grips improve comfort and control. Limited lifetime warranty.

Backwards 1st Guide...NOT!

Jb, the guide is specifically "kicked" forward, as are all the subsequent guides, to prevent braided line from wind knotting, or wrapping around them. The system works quite well and my hassles with guide knots & braided line are over...

pretty rod, appears to be well made, only thing is . THE FIRST GUIDE is installed upside down. pretty bad folks:, for a high end rod this is unacceptable
