The Saros F Spinning Reel incorporates the new Paladin™ Gear Durability Enhancement, which ensures gears are more durable than even stainless steel. The Propulsion™ Spool Lip aids in longer casts. Shielded A- RB® bearings deliver outstanding corrosion resistance and silky-smooth retrieves. Built on an aluminum frame with aluminum spool, graphite sideplates and graphite rotor. This reel is packed with features. Fluidrive® II polishes the gear surface to maximize tooth contact. This increases the efficiency of the retrieve for more power with less effort. Dyna-Balance® eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. Super Stopper® II Anti-Reverse uses a one-way bearing that eliminates backplay for solid hooksets, and it can be turned off for situations where reverse reeling is needed. A sealed maintenance port allows for easy lubrication. The thread-in machined-aluminum handle is part of the direct drive mechanism for reliability. The Saros F 4000 included with this combo can hold up to 200 yards of 10-lb. test line. Its gear ratio is 5.7:1, and it has a 5+1 bearing configuration. Maximum drag setting is 15 lbs. The reel weighs 13.6 oz.
