Because sensitivity is so crucial in a jig or worm rod, these blanks are GLX all the way, with new tapers and the  lightweight, indestructible Recoil® guide system. Fast tapers lower your casting trajectory, providing greater accuracy and pinpoint line/lure control. Loomis also moved the power zone closer to the tip, making the rod stiffer overall without adding weight. Limited Lifetime Warranty. Made in USA.

Finest Rod on the Market

This is the finest fishing rod Ive ever used. If someone makes a better rod please let me know so I can go get one. Much faster taper than the St Croix which is crucial for sensitivity while using plastics. The titanium guides are incredible. The only way to get a better rod is to have one custom made and maybe still it wont be better. Plus lifetime warranty. I was about to buy the Mossyback but decided on the GLX instead. Im glad I did.

This is not just a worm rod!!!!

Went in to purchase the standard GLX but ended up purchasing this rod instead. The guides are indestructible, the handle butt has been upgraded to cork, the handle is better, the rod is finished with glaze all the way to the tip, and the action is better in my opinion. Plus the rod has a stiffness to it that I prefer. The rod IS versatile as long as you stay within the recommended lure sizes and line sizes prescribed on the rod. As long as you do that, you will be rewarded with a very sensitive rod and you can throw anything you want (spinners, cranks, etc) with this rod and catch fish.
