Cabela’s Fish Eagle rods have been our best-selling series since 1990. Now we’ve taken these customer favorites to the next level with all-new features that make them even more sensitive and reliable. The spinning models now have down-locking fore grips that eliminate the exposed reel seat threads when the reel is secured. The casting rods feature the Mag Touch® reel seat with even more blank exposure for greater sensitivity with less weight and all are outfitted with our Soft Touch grip finish for added comfort. Fish Eagle II rods are built on high-quality CX2, 38 million modulus IM6 blanks equipped with Portuguese cork handles, Fuji® Hardloy® guides and an added layer of woven graphite in the butt section for increased strength. Our Fish Eagle II rods have been tested and approved by our veteran staff of anglers as well as pros from all over the world. The result is a complete line of high-performance rods you can count on for all your angling needs, from light-biting panfish to hard-hitting muskies, stripers and salmon.

Fish Eagle 6.5 ft. light

I've been using these rods for about 10 years and I have read all the present reviews. The tips on these are a bit light but I personally have had no problems whatsoever with the present 6.5 ft. lightweight I've been using for over 3 years. I have about 100 high dollar spinning rods but this is one of my favorites! I have caught Smallmouth up to 6.5 lbs, Northerns up to 22 lbs, and Walleye up to 10 lbs.. Good hook setting power! I have not babied this rod at all and am quite pleased with its performance.

very good rod

This is a very good rod for the price. Some reveiws complained about broken tips. Have not had any problems. They are graphite so the rod is alot thinner than your old glass ones were. Very nice action, the only complaint I have with it is there are to many eyes on them. It does put more friction on the line when you cast, but the good side is it gives the rod better action with a fish on.

One of the Best Rods

I find the Fishing Eagle II rod very lightweight yet strong enough to hook some monster bass! The rod tip is very flexible but it holds up well under pressure.
I now own 3 of these rods. The 7' travel rod is perfect for kayak fishing. I get a great cast and playing the fish is a memorable pleasure with these senstive and sturdy rods. A great value too! Thanks Cabelas!

This rod is nice. It has a good reel seat, high-end rod blank, 7 high-end eyelets including the tip and a hook holder. The appearance is nice it goes between dark green to almost black. I now own two, one MH and one M. I put Cabelas GX Tournament reels on them and they are great to cast and retrieve bait or spoons with. This is a good deal especially when they go on sale. You can pay more for less. USA made models would be nice.
