The smallest Steez reel weighs in at only 6.9 oz. The Air Metal™ magnesium body, side cover and rotor keep weight to a minimum, while delivering the durable support to the drivetrain. Precision machine-crafted metal shaft. The gears are Digigear™ digitally designed and machined for efficiency and smooth, silent operation. Corrosion-resistant ball bearings mean the reel will hold up longer and allow washable maintenance. Sealed, waterproof drag system. Tubular stainless Air Bail® and forward-tapered ABS Twist Buster® reduce line twist and keep your line under control. Infinite Anti-Reverse, Advanced Locomotive Levelwind, and precision, super-micropitch drag adjustment. Pillar-type tight oscillation system is ultraquiet and smooth. Free neoprene bag.

I was a little nervouse when I bought this real but after using it all summer I can honestly say its the best real on the market.
I been using this real to catch pan fish when the tides come in off the pond I fish at. Once I get a hit this bad boy never fails. I never get a backlash or broken lines. Even when I hook into the monster 1lb blue gill.
This real is a most own for any serious angular who loves to pan fish!
I can't wait to get out on the boat and try this little real fishing for perch. I'm fully confident this real could bring in 2 perch at a time on a perch rig!

Daiwa top end reel. I love it. The idea of holding my rod and reel together, weighing less then 9 oz, and fishing on the water in the middle of nowhere, knowing that what ever size of fish I hook into, there will be more then enough drag power to slow 'em down, more then enough engine to bring 'em in,, and lets face it, more then enough " Steez" on the water. By far the best reel I have ever bought. If you dont have one.............................. you need one.

I bought this little engine about 13 months ago. i can honestly say this is if not the best Daiwa i have ever owned it is tied with my Hypercertate.have reeled in bass over 5lbs with this little engine with power to spare. i have the 2508. buy one, you will not be disappointed,now if we could convince Daiwa to make a 3000 Steez,dynamic duo!
