Daiwa Procyon® Spinning Reels

    • Rugged, lightweight reels ready for use in fresh- or saltwater
    • Three corrosion-resistant ball bearings (CRBB) plus roller bearing
    • Air Rotor for lighter weight and greater sensitivity
    • Tubular, stainless Air Bail for lightweight strength
These rugged, lightweight reels are ideal for use on both fresh- or saltwater. The Air Rotor’s unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength. Hollow AirBail® is super strong yet light in weight and has no protrusions to snag line. A narrow, rigid-aluminum, Hardbodyz® body design offers strength without added weight and has a corrosion-resistant Zaion body cover. Four ball bearings, three are corrosion-resistant (CRBB), plus a roller bearing result in smooth operation. Digital designed and cut Digigear™ gearing. Oiled felt seal keeps water out of body. Sealed, waterproof drag with click adjustment. Machine-cut aluminum handle. ABS aluminum spool.

Awesome reel

I am a huge Shimano fan and originally bought one of the new Stradic FJs to put on a St. Croix Rage rod. I returned the Stradic after using it a few times because it was not, in my opinion, worth the price tag. I picked up this new Procyon to replace the Stradic and fell in love with it. I had never fished with a Daiwa reel before, but this will not be my last. This reel is extremely smooth, well-balanced, and comfortable. I would highly recommend this reel, especially to those who have never used Daiwa. I was pleasantly surprised, especially for the price, and I think that others out there may feel the same way.
