Daiwa Ballistic® Spinning Reel

Built to weather the extremes of both fresh- or saltwater fishing, Ballistic spinning reels are constructed of lightweight, corrosion-resistant Zaion® Carbon that rivals magnesium for strength and rigidity. Add a sealed drag and body, seven ball bearings, four are corrosion-resistant (CRBB), and lightweight Air Rotor for enhanced strength and the Ballistic is ready to perform. The Air Rotor’s unique shape reduces weight while evenly distributing stress. The tubular AirBail® is super strong yet light in weight, and has no protrusions to snag line. High-speed 6.0:1 retrieve. Machine-cut aluminum handle arm. Digigear™, digital designed and cut gearing. Waterproof drag with click adjustment. A two ball-bearing spool support keeps drag washers in perfect alignment. Oiled felt body seal. ABS aluminum spool.

First expensive Daiwa reel I've purchased

This is my first expensive Diawa spinning reel I've ever purchased. By far the Ballistic is the smoothest I've ever used. I used it to jig crappies from the bank and it held up really well so far, but I've only used it for 6 months. Used to have the Advantage and the Prodigy. They didn't hold up well as this. The grinding and popping inside the reel of the Advantage and the Prodigy were unbearable. I give the Ballistic a 4-star because with this price, there should be bearings in the handle and the line roller. After I put 4 more bearing, 2 on the handle and 2 on the line roller, I feel like I have a soup-up Ballistic spinning reel. Now, my 200SH is a 11+1 bearing reel.
