A little disappointed..

My wife purchased the 304i as a gift, upon the recommendation I gave her.
I put 10 hours of use on it when it started to hang up while reeling.
When I'd get the reel handle to the top of the rotation, it would hang up.
I thought that perhaps the reel was hanging because of use in below freezing temperatures. I took the reel apart and degreased and re-assembled. Still had the same problem.
I took it apart once again to check the gears for loss of teeth or any other problems. Upon closer inspection there was a burr located on the body cover where the drive gear meet.
I used a fine file and 800 grit sand paper to remove the burr.
This reel now works as I anticipated it should.

This reel is AWESOME!! So I bought 2.

It reels so smooth and the drag is sweet. I've never have had a problem with this reel. I cought my first steel head with it and had no problem reeling it in. I use one for my trout pole too. Best reels I've purchased so far.

This reel is the best I've owned, the only the bad thing was it doesn't come with and reel oil and I can't find any extra spools.

So great why stop at 1.

I loved this reel so much that I bought a second, and I also purched a 302. The drag is so smooth I could never tell if it was to loose with out looking down at it while fighting a fish. I also love the anit-reverse, this was the first reel that I purchased that has continuous anit-reverse, put it this way I will never go back. This reel is also so durable and works in every condition. I use it both during the summer and winter for ice fishing and never had a problem.
I have let other people use my reels and they are amased at how smooth they are that they go out themselves and buy the same reel.
