Penn® Spinfisher® SSg/Cabela's Salt Striker® Travel Spinning Combos

The SSg is a lightweight reel with all the top features you expect from Penn. Trip Friction Ramp prevents premature bail trip when casting. Ergonomic, contoured frame makes it comfortable to fish with all day long. Features a sturdy stainless steel main shaft, five stainless steel ball bearings plus one infinite anti-reverse roller bearing. Sealed drag knob keeps dirt and debris out of the Penn-exclusive power drag. Also equipped with a corrosion-resistant, gold- anodized, machined handle. And now we’ve paired this high-performance reel with our Salt Striker travel rods so you can enjoy them anywhere adventure leads. The though, 100% graphite Salt Striker rods break down into three sections and are easily carried in the included 32" tube.

Off to Belize

Spent 3 days fishing the flats of Belize. This combo held up to tarpon, jacks, barracuda and bones. Smooth casting and return. I wasn't sure how a "travel rod" would perform, but it definitely took a beating and gained my confidence. Also traveled easily as a carry on. No complaints.
