good rod and reel

I bought one for my wife we do a lot of rock fishing she is hard on reels this one has withstood her test. l'm gonna get her another one!

Functional Reel, Awful Rod

Rod lasted exactly three casts before snapping in half about 2 feet down from the tip, lure was well within the weight class listed on the rod, there were no drops, car door slams or anything of the sort. Took it back into the store and the salesman told me the rods were awful and lots of people were having problems with them. The reel looked pretty nice, never got to test out the drag, but overall it felt pretty smooth. I was so disappointed in the rod's performance I elected to take the store credit and try a different manufacturers product.
