G.Loomis Greenwater Spinning Rods

Greenwater spinning rods are designed for saltwater anglers who fish the skinny waters of the flats in search of bonefish and other shallow-water gamefish. The Sea Foam Green color and Medium Green guide wraps aren’t the only thing that has been changed from the traditional G.Loomis rod. The Fuji® A-ring guides are constructed of Alconite, a unique composite material that resists abrasion and lets line slide smoothly through for excellent long-distance castability. The spinning guides have a unique Y-frame power-angle design for superior fighting strength. The premium cork handles give a sure grip wet or dry and are comfortable to hold all day long. Whether you’re fly-lining live shrimp to specks on the open water flats or pulling snook out of mangrove swamps, there’s a rod action and length in this series to fit your fishing technique. One-piece rods. Limited lifetime warranty.

Greenwater 930
Date:
I give it 4 stars because I thought it would be better for my inshore light tackle than my Classic Steelhead series medium action. Don't get me wrong, this rod is awesome and has everything- sensitive, light, backbone and casts a mile...but for me, my Classic Steelhead feels better in the hand for my style of fishing with lures and light popping corks. I prefer the longer rod which when wading in the water and fishining lures down to 1/16oz with no problems on my light and medium action Steelhead rods makes it more fun for me.

Awsome rod!!!!
Date:
i own the 7'9" greenwater and i going to oder another one because it is the best rod i have ever used. It is light enought to free line a shrimp and strong enough to throw a 6" top water plug. the price is a bit high but you get what you pay for and this rod is worth every penny.

Solid Rod
Date:
This is a great rod if you like fishing the Louisiana coast. I was looking for a rod that I could feel the nibble of a 12 inch speckled trout and still be able to bring in that bull red lurking over the rocks. It cast great! I am able to cast my 1/4oz gig heads 30 plus yards with 17# test mono. The rod will cost you though which is why I only gave 4 stars. However, G-Loomis stands by their product. If it breaks, they will fix it. In my opinion, the price is worth having a rod you have to name in your will.

perfect

I purchased my first greenwater 843 as a birthday gift to myself. As the norm I would not spend this much on myself for a rod but hey, it was my birthday and I earned it and am I ever glad I did! The maiden voyage found a monster bull red putting my "Loomis" to the test and the bull lost! Casting is a breeze and I can not imagine a rod of this class weighing less than a greenwater. I now own three different greenwater spinning models and always will. When I return home from an outing they(as does all my equipment) gets cleaned, dried, and stored in their own Cabelas rod socks for safe keeping. Rods like these are sure to be an heirloom someday to my daughters! Or would you call that an "Heir-Loomis"
