This is a strong and well built reel. Casts like a dream, and retrieves smoothly. The large handle gives you a lot of leverage. I use this for pier and surf fishing, and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Ok, so the price is competitive for a reel this size. I like the folding handle and the cranking power. However, this reel does not speak quality. It is wobbly and not well balanced. Clearly, compromises were made here in workmanship and construction. Loads of plastic everywhere waiting to break and scratch. Those used to smoothness and robustness in a seawater reel will be disappointed. It just feels cheap. Because it is. My toddler will be playing with it soon.

great reel

this is a great reel i believe i bought it to use in the st.lawerence river for pike and muskie and even the not so often walleye jiging its just a little heavy but you get used to it ive cought many fish on this reel and would reconmend it to anyone for sure.

i bought it for cats and to fight big wipers cant complain its everything i expected almost .......
its heavy cant imagine carrying it around beach to fish,but its perfect for what im catching
