If you are looking for top rate spinning combo this is the one. Well balanced, sensitive, and works the best with Powerpro Braid. If my Cabelas' XM TI's were not so good this would the rod I would stick with in multiple versions.

I had my reservations about throwing my money away on another large spool spinning reel. But this set up is awsome. The large spool and oversized first guide really makes flourocarbon much easier to use. The reel is very smooth and cast very nice unlike the others I have used.

I used 15# Power Pro (4# dia) with 8# floufo leader on the 7ft medium. The medium is on the stiffer side. However, due to the increase in casting distance. Hook sets and 3/8 oz jigging with the medium on rocky bottoms has a great balance of back bone with finesse. I caught a 13# Channel Cat from shore and the drag was smooooooothe. I'm ordering the Med/ light next for lighter tackle. Make sure there's always plenty of line, cause your lure will sail far.
