Cabela's Salt Striker® Spinning Reels

Our Salt Striker Reels are built to withstand the rugged saltwater environment, while presenting premium-grade features at affordable prices. Nine ball bearings and one roller bearing provide a super-smooth drive, while the instant anti-reverse delivers stout, slack-free hooksets. The three-piece machined aluminum spool with a titanium lip produces extended casting distances. A Hydro Shield™ multi-disc front drag system adjusts quickly and keeps out water and debris. They also have a titanium-plated ceramic line roller, and a rugged, sealed housing. And the machined aluminum handle can be switched to right or left-handed retrieve.

This is the third Salt Striker reel I have purchased in different sizes. These are by far some of best reels for the money, sure you can spend more for a reel. That does not mean you will catch more fish.
I go fishing 3 or 4 times a year in saltwater and these reels have held up with no signs of wear/tear. I use these in fresh water also for salmon and lake trout with no trouble bringing the big ones in.
In my option you cannot go wrong with any size of these reels, now just decide which size to buy, that is why I have 3 reels.

I have been exceptionally pleased with the Salt Striker reels that I purchased. They are used by my clients and myself and have not had the first failure in over three years of hard use... and they still look good! I have several different sizes to cover all fishing tactics. get yours or lose out!
